Employee Spotlight: Terrence Ruffins
We’d like to congratulate Mr. Terrence Ruffins for earning this month’s Employee Spotlight! Here are a few words from his direct supervisor, Martin Narido, Operations Supervisor in our Coatings Division based out of our Broussard office: “Terrence Ruffins was hired to help support our efforts with a client’s Offshore Coating Program, his task was to help manage and track the client’s $50 million-$60 million per year budget. His willingness to help with any task and wanting to learn our business set him ahead of the rest of the candidates.
While working closely with me he has shown professionalism, and adaptability to work in any environment and listen to what the field and office was needing of him all while working on a bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisiana.”

How long you have been with Versa: About a year and a half now.
Something you like about the industry: For me, coming from a different industry has been great. To be able to integrate what I know to this industry has been very cool and challenging. Learning new techniques and applications has been a great experience as well.
What is one trait you look for in a leader: Someone that has established themselves as a leader in the industry and willing to teach someone like myself.
Hobbies/Interests: I’m a father and I love to spend time with my 3 year old son. I train MMA/Brazilian Jujitsu and I like software programming. I am currently enrolled in Northwestern St. University for Software Development.
Favorite place(s) to go on vacation: Schlitterbahn in Galveston for my son’s 3rd birthday. He had a blast being in the water all day on the lazy river and wanted to be in there the whole time!
